ARTSPACE CINDERFORD NEWS
New Mosaic Class beginning 21st January 2010
A one off opportunity not to missed, this course will not be repeated this year
This course will cover aspects of composition and design using a variety of mosaic materials, and considering influences from ancient to contemporary, looking at colour, pattern and imagery. You will learn safe and easy ways to cut tiles – small glass tesserae and ceramic, and how to plan and carry out your designs to incorporate ideas about shape, scale, texture and `finish ‘.
There will also be opportunities to make decorative items for interior or exterior use, from coasters and plant pots, to glass applique plaques, ‘murals’ and paving slabs.
These sessions are suitable for complete beginners on, but do please let us know in advance if you require any specific/modified equipment to enable you to take part.
